I used the common app to highlight all myJan 11 2010Communications
I used the common app to highlight all my involvements in high school and had a 2020 SAT(1330 on the old one)and a 3.9 GPA and a ton of extracurriculars (4 years of track and XC, 3 years of of basketball, Anchor CLub, Best buddies, the list goes on). Be long winded - but only where it's true and relevant.
And don't be afriad to brag! this is your time to show off. Marist is getting more and more competitve every year, so buckle down and study for those SATs and finals (even after you've been accepted - there are such things as "unaccepted letters" you know), but don't get so caught up in school work that you don't live your life. Marist looks for well-rounded individuals who are active citzens capable of independent thought. Be confident. Be you.

Maintain over a 3.0 GPA! Stay strong with your classes even during senior year. Get involved with clubs and things you are interested in. Definitely visit! You'll know if it's the right place for you.

In order to get accepted to Marist, I hadJan 11 2010Psychology
In order to get accepted to Marist, I had a strong academic background, and a well-rounded and balanced resume. I made sure to get involved in clubs, volunteer work, leadership programs, and jobs in high school, which helped create a well-rounded profile. I also worked hard on my college essay, and asked respected teachers for my recommendations.

I would absolutely recommend staying INVOLVED during high school. Marist loves students who are active in their communities.

I was involved in extra-curricular activities all through-out myJan 11 2010Undecided
I was involved in extra-curricular activities all through-out my high school years and always focused on getting good grades. I took the SAT's twice to better my score and visited a couple times for tours before applying to Marist College.

Work hard in high school, I did what IJan 11 2010Communications
Work hard in high school, I did what I enjoy and it was plenty to be accepted. I would say if you want to get in here, just have it in mind that you want to go to a private school, work hard but have fun, the admissions likes people who show character, not stingy people who just fight for a 4.0 GPA.
